The armourer on Alec Baldwin's film Rust found guilty

The doomed chaotic film set of legendary actor Alec Baldwin pet project Western Rust armourer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, has been found guilty by a jury.

The court case against armourer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed focussed on whether she was solely responsible for loading the guns and weapons on the Rust film set.

The jury found her guilty of being solely responsible for making sure the guns and other firearms and weapons were made safe by being unloaded and loaded but with blanks, not 'real' live ammunition.

The film set was plagued by unrest and dissatisfaction, which resulted in half of the film crew walking off of the film set in New Mexico.

This disruption caused delay and the other half of the film crew, which by now was barely a film crew had to multitask and this is when Hannah Gutierrez-Reed the day before loaded live rounds in guns, where the other film crew members fooled around and shot beer cans.

But on that fatal day Hannah Gutierrez-Reed did not empty as she should have as an armourer and put guns, firearms and other weapons separate to the bullets, especially when it comes to 'live' ammunition rounds.

Unfortunately, during her sentencing Hannah Gutierrez-Reed was rather dismissive at the tragic death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins saying that people “die” all the time, and how being in jail was stopping her “modelling” career.

The Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer also said that while Hannah addressed the court and complained that people had a negative view of her and how she was not a “monster” was brutally direct and swift with her saying Hannah's view of this tragedy inconveniencing her and her life while Halyna Hutchins' husband Matthew has lost his partner and his son his mother, and her mother and grandmother has lost their daughter and granddaughter respectfully.

Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer said to Hannah “get up” and stand for sentencing and gave Hannah who knew by the scolding the Judge gave she was eventually sentenced to 18-months in prison.

In American law anyone who is convicted and sentenced to a period of incarceration that means Hannah Gutierrez-Reed cannot possess a gun licence and cannot possess guns and other firearms, apart from New Mexico who have a different law that a convicted felon could possess a gun licence and firearms after a certain amount of time.

Once Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer finished the sentencing, she told the court bailiffs to take her out to board the bus to take Hannah to the Santa Fe Adult Detention Facility to serve her time.

This is not over as there are more court cases concerning the fatal tragic death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins death, including a legal case against Alec Baldwin himself.
